Besties APP

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers based on real app features: period calendar, health logs, quick-command record and lookup (stats, charts, detail lists, and this/last year max-min), bestie permissions, AI assistant Guimi, membership, Apple Health sync, download and install, plus account and privacy.
Download
Search Besties (闺蜜圈) on the App Store for iOS. Android builds are on MyApp, Huawei AppGallery, APKPure, and Pgyer. A WeChat mini program and H5 version are also available. Scan the codes on the homepage to download.
Getting started
Besties (DAYI.MA) is a period and health tracker for women. Log cycles, symptoms, temperature, weight, waist, mood, and intimacy; see safe days, fertile windows, and ovulation; and invite friends to look after each other. It includes the Deepseek-powered assistant Guimi, and is available on iOS, Android, WeChat mini program, and H5.
Create an account with username and password. The app also supports WeChat, Apple, QQ, and other third-party logins depending on the device. You must read and accept the User Agreement and Privacy Policy. After login, data can sync in the cloud.
On the login screen, tap Forgot password and follow the steps. After login, you can also change it under Me → Change password or Advanced settings → Security.
Go to Me → Advanced settings → Rename account. Usernames can be changed only once per year. Friend lists prefer the remark name you set for each bestie.
Bind a phone number in account security. SMS verification currently supports mainland China numbers only. Binding helps with account recovery.
Go to Me → Advanced settings → Delete account. After deletion you cannot sign in with that account. Profile, period logs, and bestie relationships are deleted or anonymized and cannot be restored. Registering again with the same phone number creates a brand-new account with no previous data or membership. Back up anything you want to keep first.
Both switches are in Advanced settings and apply to the current device only. Single-user mode hides Besties features if you only want to track yourself. Teen mode restricts some features for a younger audience.
Period & calendar
On the home calendar, pick a date and tap start / end period. The more you log, the more accurate later period and ovulation predictions become.
The legend under the calendar shows green for safe days, purple for the fertile window, red tones for period days, plus predicted period and ovulation (✪). Switch months or years to review history.
Predictions are based on your logged history, with a reminder about 2 days before your period. Set period length (typically 3–15 days) and cycle length in Me → Period settings. If bleeding is unusually short or long for a long time, please see a doctor.
Yes. The calendar lets you browse any past date for period, symptoms, temperature, and more. Data is backed up daily and can sync across devices after you sign in.
Health logs
Besides periods, the home screen logs temperature, weight, waist, symptoms, daily mood, and intimacy (including contraception). Me → Health analysis shows trends for weight, waist, temperature, mood, and symptoms.
Pick a date, open symptoms, and check items for head discomfort, skin, private area, discharge, mood, diet, and digestion. Mood ranges from super happy to very sad, and emotion analysis later summarizes your happiness index.
These are membership insights. Period / record analysis and intimacy log analysis require SVIP. Open them from Me. If your level is not high enough, the app will prompt you to upgrade in the VIP center.
Besties
Open the Besties tab and tap the plus button. Search for a user (if they allow search) or scan their Besties QR card to send a request. After they accept, you become besties. You can also review My requests / Requests to me under Me.
You control whether others can find you, add you, and view or edit your period and health data. Open a bestie profile to set whether she can edit yours. Without permission, she cannot log for you.
Yes. After she grants permission, open her cycle page to help record period and related health info—useful when traveling or when she cannot log herself.
In the bestie profile you can end the relationship or add her to the blacklist. Blacklisting also blocks new friend requests. Manage it under Me → Blacklist.
AI assistant
Guimi is a gynecological knowledge assistant powered by Deepseek. It can help you describe symptoms and explain common tests. It cannot replace an in-person visit and must not diagnose lab reports. Seek care at a regular hospital for abnormal bleeding, pain, or discharge. Answers are AI-generated for reference only. Real-name verification is required for AI features.
Voice input is available from VIP upward and requires consent to send audio to Baidu AI Cloud for speech-to-text. You can revoke this in Advanced settings → Voice recognition. The recognized text can be sent to Guimi or handled as a quick command. Voice time is monthly and does not roll over: 15 minutes for VIP, 30 minutes for SVIP, and 60 minutes for AISVIP. A one-day trial is 3, 5, and 8 minutes for those tiers.
Quick commands are available from VIP upward. Turn them on at the bottom of the AI assistant, then say or type what to record or look up. They run before the message is sent to Guimi. When the switch is off, input goes straight to Guimi.
  • Language: Chinese and English both work. No fixed sentence pattern is required. A sentence with Chinese characters gets a Chinese reply; otherwise the reply is English.
  • Record: temperature, weight, waist, mood, symptoms, love/sex, and period start or end. Words like love, sex, and intercourse are treated the same. One sentence can record several items, for example “today temperature 36.6, weight 52kg, and a headache” or 「昨天体重 66kg」.
  • Look up: only your own data. Supports a single day, the last occurrence, period stats/trends, monthly detail lists, and this/last/the-year-before-last max-min—see the FAQs below.
  • Empty chat tips: when there are no messages or after clearing chat, the assistant shows record/lookup examples you can tap to fill the input.
  • Questions: advice, whether something is normal, and ordinary chat go to Guimi and are not saved as records.
  • Daily count: one count is used only when data is actually saved or returned. VIP gets 6 a day, SVIP 10, and AISVIP 20. The count is valid for that day and is not used when the message is treated as chat.
  • Apple Health: on iPhone, if HealthKit auto sync is already on, temperature, weight, waist, mappable symptoms, sex, and period saved by a quick command are written to Apple Health. Mood is not. A sync failure does not undo data already saved in the app.
More examples are in the Quick Command Guide from the VIP center or the AI assistant.
Yes. Lookups cover only your own data. Period stats / trends appear as line, bar, or pie charts; say “list” for itemized text results (CMD-marked bubbles). Common examples:
  • Period: latest period; period last month; period in September; was I on my period on September 5.
  • Symptoms: symptoms yesterday; when was my last headache; back pain in the past 6 months; days with both headache and abdominal pain; which day had the most discomfort last month; list of abnormalities this month.
  • Love / sex: sex log yesterday; last time I used a condom; how many times in 6 months and which contraception; sex log list this month (date, time, contraception).
  • Mood: mood yesterday; when was I happiest / unhappiest last; mood stats for the past 3 months; mood list this month.
  • Temperature, weight, waist, BMI: temperature yesterday; weight trend for 6 months; which day had the highest weight last month; highest weight this year; highest weight last year; lowest temperature the year before last; temperature list this month; weight list this month. BMI uses your current profile height—set height in your profile first.
If you omit the date, a single-day lookup uses today. Questions like “is it normal” still go to Guimi.
  • List / details: itemized rows—e.g. sex logs this month (date, time, contraception), abnormalities, temperature, weight, or mood. Best for “this month” or about the past month.
  • Stats / charts: totals, contraception breakdown, mood distribution, or temperature/weight/waist/BMI trends and max/min, often with charts. Best for past 6–12 months or a full calendar year.
  • Span limit: detail lists support at most about two months; for a whole year use stats, charts, or “which day was highest/lowest”, not a list.
More examples are in the in-app Quick Command Guide.
Yes.
  • This / last / the year before last: calendar year. If today is in 2026, “highest weight this year” runs from 2026-01-01 to today; last year is all of 2025; the year before last is 2024.
  • Past year / past 12 months: a rolling window about 12 months back from today, not a calendar year.
  • Good examples: highest weight this/last year, lowest temperature the year before last, periods this year, BMI trend last year. Don’t use a full-year “list” (lists max ~2 months).
With no messages, or after clearing chat, the assistant shows tips: how to record, how to look up, and how to ask. Tap an example to fill the input; record/lookup tips remind you to turn on Quick Command if it’s off. You can also open the Quick Command Guide for the full list.
Turn off Streaming response in Advanced settings and try again. Non-streaming replies are slower. If it still fails, check your network, or contact QQ group 323089499 / email root@obaby.org.cn.

Apple Health
Yes, on the iOS app only. After you grant access in Me → HealthKit settings, period, weight, temperature, waist, intimacy, and mappable symptoms can sync both ways with Apple Health, including auto sync. A write failure does not undo data already saved in this app.
Auto sync needs both read and write access: exporting / auto-writing needs write; importing from Health needs read. Check as follows:
  • Open iPhone Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Besties (闺蜜圈), then enable read and write for period, weight, temperature, waist, and other types you use.
  • If one type has no write access, auto sync shows “Health write access needed”. Tap Open Settings, enable that type, then retry.
  • If you tapped Don’t Allow on the system prompt, auto sync is turned off. Re-enable it in Me → HealthKit settings and accept the permission again.
  • If the app cannot jump to Settings, follow the path above manually.
Read access cannot be queried precisely in the app. If authorization succeeded but nothing is imported, confirm the read switch is on and your manual sync date range covers existing Health records.
A sync failure does not affect records already saved in Besties. Open Me → HealthKit settings → Sync history to see success / partial / failed results. Typical fixes:
  • Check read/write access as in the previous question. Export to Health cannot run without write permission.
  • For manual sync, select at least one data type and a valid start/end date. An empty range shows no new data.
  • The default conflict strategy is Skip conflicts. If another source already wrote that day in Health, the sample may be skipped. To overwrite, choose Prefer App, or Force rewrite for already-synced records.
  • If authorization is denied or the request fails, auto sync turns off and must be turned on again in HealthKit settings.
HealthKit works only on a real iOS device. If it still fails, screenshot the sync log detail and contact QQ 382291381 or root@obaby.org.cn.
